Spinach: Use fresh or frozen spinach here. You can also substitute kale, thought the texture won’t be quite as smooth.
Milk: Use virtually any plain or vanilla flavored milk here. Dairy, non-dairy, anything goes!
Banana: Frozen banana is best for adding frosty coolness to this smoothie. Just peel, roughly chop, and freeze a banana the night before making this.
Nutella: And of course, the star or the show! For a dairy-free option, use almond butter and a sprinkle of unsweetened cocoa powder.
Ingredients:
- 1 handful spinach
- 240ml/ ½ cup milk
- 1 banana chopped and frozen
- 10g/ 1 tbsp Nutella
Instructions:
- First blend spinach and milk until smooth, then add the rest of the ingredients and continue blending.
- Serve immediately.
- Enjoy!
Tips & Tricks
Variations on this Nutella smoothie:
Use Kale: Substitute the spinach for fresh kale (it may need to be blended longer as kale has a tougher texture than spinach.
No Banana: You can replace the banana with ¼cup of coconut milk (even better if you freeze the milk into ice cubes before hand!)
Dairy Free: Make it dairy-free by using plant-based milk and substituting the Nutella for almond butter + unsweetened cocoa powder.
